Psychological training of athletes
In addition to technical, tactical and physical skills, competent psychological training is an important component of success in sports in general, and in tennis in particular.
OUR ATHLETES LEARN
- Adequately assess, clearly understand their own forces without excessive self-criticism and negative self-esteem, as well as without faith “win at all costs “, and as a result, play the game at the individual maximum level.
- Self-control in conditions of high tension and duration of the match. Ability to quickly relax and strain during the match, to keep under control and analyze their thoughts, to predict the situation based on the data of the game.
- Competently simulate specific situations that arise during the match. Take decisive action with significant pressure from the enemy. Mentally simulate and analyze your own behavior at any point in the game, while maintaining respect for the opponent.
Interaction athlete ↔ coach ↔ parent
The academy pays considerable attention to monitoring the psychological state of athletes and their parents. We offer personal consultations, as well as telephone consultations, both for students of the academy and for their parents.
Please note: young athletes need the support of mentally stable and sensible parents! Not pressing, not discouraging, but really appreciating the strengths and weaknesses of their children, fully interested in their success, able to support, quietly watching their development, and, most importantly, knowing how to develop with them.
Self-training is an important element of psychological training of athletes.
It allows the athlete to maintain an optimal psychological state during training and matches. Mastering this technique allows to minimize the impact of stressful situations on the athlete, in particular, when the game does not meet his expectations.
With the help of our specialists, athletes learn to visualize specific tasks aimed at their future success.
